Below weight estimates are approximations and can be used for small shipments.  For large shipments (more than $1000 domestic or more than $500 international) you must get an accurate weight / dimension count from Irwindale (Junior/Angie/Rubi can assist with this) before quoting a customer, keeping in mind that dimensional weight plays a role as well and is very critical to be considered for large shipments ($1000+ for domestic or $500+ for international).

1 gallon = 3.8 kgs
1 liter = 1000ml
1 liter = 1kg
1 liter = 1000 grams
1 kg = 2.2 pounds

Example 1: if you want to calculate the weight (in pounds) for 1 gallon ink, you do:

1 gallon = 3.8 kgs
3.8 kgs = 8.36 pounds

Example 2: if you want to calculate the weight (in pounds) for 60ml of ink, you do:

60 ml = 0.06 liters
0.06 liters = 0.06 kg
0.06 kg = 0.13 pounds

Also, a general rule of thumb for common item approximation is as follows:

  • Ink Cartridge = 0.15 pounds
  • Toner Cartridge = 3 pounds
  • 60ml = 0.15 pounds
  • 120ml = 0.3 pounds
  • 250ml = 0.6 pounds
  • 1 liter = 2.2 pounds
  • 1 gallon = 8.3 pounds
  • 5 gallons = 20 pounds
  • Printer = 20 pounds
  • Refill Kit = 1 pound
  • Frosting Sheet Pack = 2 pounds
